After living here 7 months I was ready for the dining room to feel complete. Last night I decided to take the art from the upstairs and move it to the dining room. At Target I grabbed a silver hammered vase and some magnolia branches. One more room finished!
This room has most definitely turned into our family game playing room. Lots of Catan, Sorry, Stratego, Checkers, Chess and Monopoly being played here!
Our Dining Room
My goal for the main level of the house was to keep the color palette really simple and neutral. I love my white walls and grey. In the dining room I brought in a few pops of green to add some summer freshness and the art is a pop of soothing color.
I wanted it to be a space that was beautiful and simple and functional and not easy to mess up since it's the one room you can see from the front door and basically all areas of the first floor.
What do you think? Anything you would change/add? I want to keep things simple but I'm not the best at accessories. I don't know what to add to the fireplace mantle, maybe some type of found wood object but not sure where that can be found. :)
