Well as it turns out this week we sold our entire dining room as one big lot on craigslist. I figured there would be someone who would be interested in a completely furnished room, one that they didn't have to decide anything. Just come, pick up the dining table, 6 chairs, matching bench, rug, rug pad, mirror, art and accessories and call it a done room at your new place! The room sold within 24 hrs of my posting.
Lets take a moment together and remember this beautiful dining room.
This room made me happy when I walked by it. It was so peaceful, there was never any clutter here. We played board games, Catan, Monopoly, Sorry, more Catan. This room was in the center of the home, visible from the kitchen, the living room, the front door, viewable as you walk up from the basement and down from the upstairs. I loved having a finished and furnished space in the dining room. I never wanted to change this room! Always loved it from the beginning. I wonder what it was that made me want to keep it just as it was. I need to hone in on that and complete all my other spaces in the same fashion!
White walls, dark floors, white trim, shiny accents.. Loved it.
It also worked well for taking pictures of the kids. There are benefits to white walls! I love the simple and clean feel of an all white room. Shiplap walls being my absolute favorite right now.
I think if I had stayed in this home longer I would have done a shiplap wall on the dining room wall behind the art.
I love to create and I love beautiful spaces. Thank you for letting me share mine with you today.
Neat tidbit- we sold our dining room for the exact amount needed to cover our hotel, food and tickets to Disneyworld for an upcoming trip. Ever since we first took our oldest to Disneyworld Spring of 2012 he has asked us longing to take his brother to Disney. So there you have it again, the tiniest of all details all taken care of.
Thanks again for letting me share my dining room with you. I really did love this space.
